Martin’s best-selling series, The Babysitter’s Club, with a dive into the first book, Kristy’s Great Idea. Clubs may help bring friends together, but how do you power through and maintain friendships when there’s conflict, puberty and hormones, potential liars, and witches that live next door to the kids you’re babysitting? Although these are the type of books most parents would want their children to read, Alysa and Claire explore issues this book could’ve covered to help young people navigate their friendships at such a sensitive age.
